I Like / I Don't Like
Express your preferences. "I like" works with things (I like the food) and actions (I like to swim). Add "don't" to say what you don't enjoy.
I like it.
Me gusta.
I like it a lot.
Me gusta mucho.
I like it here.
Me gusta aquí.
I like the food here.
Me gusta la comida aquí.
I like to read every day.
Me gusta leer cada día.
I Would Like + The Past
"I would like" is your polite superpower — use it everywhere. Then we unlock the past with "it was" and add three powerful words: myself, again, and soon.
I would like to eat.
Me gustaría comer.
I would like to eat here tonight.
Me gustaría comer aquí esta noche.
I would like to read the book.
Me gustaría leer el libro.
I would like to speak with you.
Me gustaría hablar contigo.
I would like to know if it's possible.
Me gustaría saber si es posible.

V sound — top teeth on lower lip
In English, B and V are DIFFERENT sounds. For V, touch your top teeth to your lower lip and vibrate. 'Very' is NOT 'berry'.
